At Ray of Light Prints, we specialise in premium giclée art prints, designed to inspire, printed with precision, and made to last for generations. We use 308g/m² Hahnemühle Photo Rag®, one of the world’s most celebrated papers for high-quality FineArt inkjet printing. This premium white cotton paper features a beautifully soft texture with a subtly defined felt structure, giving each artwork a three-dimensional appearance and stunning depth. Combined with a matte premium inkjet coating, it delivers exceptional prints with brilliant colours, deep blacks, striking contrasts, and remarkable detail reproduction. Acid- and lignin-free, this classic paper is specially designed for FineArt applications and meets the highest standards for age resistance, ensuring your prints remain vibrant for generations.
Our prints are produced using the Giclée printing technique, known for its superior quality and longevity. The term “Giclée” (pronounced ‘Jee-Klay’) comes from the French verb gicler, meaning “to spray,” referring to the precise inkjet process.
We work with industry-leading technology, including the latest Epson SureColor P9000 printers, which can achieve up to 1440 x 2880 DPI resolutions. These printers use fade-resistant, archival-quality, pigment-based inks, which—when paired with our Hahnemühle cotton-based, acid-free Rag papers—offer an archival lifespan of up to 80 years in daylight and 200 years in darkness.
Giclée printing delivers unparalleled colour accuracy, exceptional black-and-white rendering, and a wide colour gamut, with smooth gradient transitions that bring your artwork to life. This is why our customers trust us for premium giclée art prints that combine technical excellence with meaningful design.
Our Quadrum picture frames are made in Germany from FSC®-certified wood. The wood comes from sustainably managed forests that meet the criteria of the Forest Stewardship Council®. The oak frames are made of solid wood from FSC®-certified sources with an oak veneer.
The colours offered are ‘white’ ‘black’ & ‘oak’.
The majority of the frame windows are made of edge-ground float glass with a UV filter of approximately 45%. For the larger sizes of A1, 60x80cm, and 70x100cm, we use very high-quality 3mm clear acrylic to prevent damage during transit. The frames are also equipped with an acid-free insert and a sturdy rear panel.
Frames are available in 14 sizes across popular aspect ratios: A size (A4, A3, A2, A1), 1:1 (30x30cm, 40x40cm, 50x50cm), 2:3 (30x45cm, 40x60cm), 3:4 (30x40cm, 60x80cm), 4:5 (28x35cm, 40x50cm), 5:7 (70x100cm).
The dimensions of the wood moulding are the same for each size: 25mm in depth and 16mm in width.
