· Inspiring Growth, one artwork at a time ·
At Ray of Light Prints, we use premium, museum-grade matte paper with a soft, natural texture. This 230 gsm archival-quality paper is crafted for longevity, ensuring your fine art prints stay rich, vibrant, and beautiful for generations to come.
Our prints are produced using the Giclée printing technique, renowned for its superior quality and durability.
The term “Giclée” (pronounced “Jee-Klay”) comes from the French verb gicler, meaning “to spray,” referring to the precise inkjet process.
Giclée printing offers unparalleled colour accuracy, exceptional black-and-white rendering, and a wide colour gamut with smooth gradient transitions that bring each artwork to life. We use UV-resistant inks to ensure the colours remain vivid over time, even in brightly lit spaces.
Our frames are handmade in Italy from solid wood and available in a curated range of finishes for a clean, elevated presentation.
We use premium plexiglass instead of traditional glass. It is a lightweight, shatter-resistant option that provides crystal-clear protection for your artwork.
Our Quadrum picture frames are made in Germany from FSC®-certified wood. The wood comes from sustainably managed forests that meet the criteria of the Forest Stewardship Council®. The oak frames are made of solid wood from FSC®-certified sources with an oak veneer.
The colours offered are ‘white’ ‘black’ & ‘oak’.
The majority of the frame windows are made of edge-ground float glass with a UV filter of approximately 45%. For the larger sizes of A1, 60x80cm, and 70x100cm, we use very high-quality 3mm clear acrylic to prevent damage during transit. The frames are also equipped with an acid-free insert and a sturdy rear panel.
Frames are available in 14 sizes across popular aspect ratios: A size (A4, A3, A2, A1), 1:1 (30x30cm, 40x40cm, 50x50cm), 2:3 (30x45cm, 40x60cm), 3:4 (30x40cm, 60x80cm), 4:5 (28x35cm, 40x50cm), 5:7 (70x100cm).
The dimensions of the wood moulding are the same for each size: 25mm in depth and 16mm in width.
The hanging type fixture on the reverse panel is ‘Nail hanging’. A size frames are equipped with hangers in portrait and landscape format. Here is how the fixture looks on the reverse of the frame:
Please note that we are unable to offer frames for our bigger prints (sizes including 100×100 cm and 100x150cm) just yet. For more information, read our blog article on alternative hanging solutions.
