This Ray of Light Print was inspired by the potential that words have to change our thoughts, moods and actions. We all have that voice in our head that can be not so nice or we are affected by news stories that focus mainly on negative aspects as they sell better. The negative self-talk and the negative messages around us can really impact the way we feel.
We know the opposite can lift us up. The book Words Can Change Your Brain by Andrew Newberg, MD, and Mark Robert Waldman talked about precisely that.
It says your brain can only focus on one thing at a time: positive or negative feelings; negative feelings are more powerful than positivity, so to counter this, we need more positivity in our surroundings. In their book, they write that words shape the reality we perceive, “human brains like to ruminate on negative fantasies, and they’re also odd in another way: they respond to positive and negative fantasies as if they were real.”

Frames: Our Quadrum picture frames come in three colours ‘white’ ‘black’ & ‘oak’. They are made in Germany from FSC®-certified wood.
Glazing: To protect our prints from light damage and bleaching, most of our frame windows are made of edge-ground float glass with a UV filter of approximately 45%. For the larger sizes of A1, 60x80cm, and 70x100cm, we use very high-quality 3mm clear acrylic to prevent damage during transit. They are also equipped with an acid-free insert and a sturdy rear panel.
Hanging Fixture: Our frame features versatile snap-in adjustable hangers, allowing secure and flexible mounting in either landscape or portrait orientation, along with a central multi-hole plate for easy alignment and added stability on your wall.
